This course is particularly important for those interested in the areas of business analytics, operations, and marketing. Over the last five years, Amazon, UPS, and Wal-Mart, have been gaining unprecedented mastery over supply chains strategy. They have achieved increased visibility into order processing and product and service delivery by using big data and predictive data analytics to match supply with demand.

Companies from retail, healthcare, and energy sectors have been trying to catch up on this success. This course teaches you some of the best practices for defining competitive priorities, aligning functions behind strategy, deciding on the best use of resources, and choosing the right metrics to improve decision-making for various market segments. The application of software tools for data analysis is also covered.

Data Management & SQL

Business decisions need data. In order for you to support those decisions, you need to know how to manage data in a relational database system and translate it into purposeful information. In this course, you’ll evaluate relational databases and methodologies as well as developing basic applied proficiency in SQL.

As an analyst, you're expected to interpret meaning from messy data using statistics, programming, and domain knowledge. This course will help you learn the tools and techniques required to derive meaning from large datasets using Python as a foundation and applying statistical methods. You'll also learn programming design principles.

Introduction to Machine Learning & AI

As Machine Learning and AI drive transformative advancements across industries, understanding the principles of ML and AI is crucial. Professionals need to harness data-driven insights, automate processes, and create intelligent systems. Using tools available in Python, R, and AI, this course provides a broad introduction to machine learning, data mining, and statistical pattern recognition. You'll gain experience with applying theory to key predictive and descriptive analytics problems in business intelligence.
