About the speaker
Ted Ladd is the Dean of Research and Professor of Entrepreneurship at Hult International Business School, specializing in the methods used by entrepreneurs to construct successful business models for high-tech start-ups. Ted holds a PhD from Case Western Reserve, an MBA from Wharton, a masters in international economics with honors from Johns Hopkins University, and a BA cum laude with distinction from Cornell as a triple major in biology, government, and technical sociology.
Ted has founded, led and participated in several venture-backed high-tech start-up ventures. Most recently, he was the Director of Ecosystems at WIMM Labs, which pioneered wearable consumer computing devices (i.e. smartwatches) and was subsequently purchased by Google. He serves on the boards of several public, private, and non-profit boards for energy generation and economic development in his home state of Wyoming.
Ted is also an instructor at Harvard University. He has been a Visiting Professor at the Copenhagen Business School, a member of the core faculty at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute (Seattle) and an entrepreneurship mentor at Stanford University (Palo Alto). His work has appeared in the Harvard Business Review, the Stanford Social Innovation Review, several academic journals and the annual conferences of the Academy of Management, USASBE, Net Impact, and Ashoka. He was named a fellow at the Fowler Center for Sustainable Value at Case Western and received several grants from the U.S. National Science Foundation.

About the speaker
Dr. Caryn Pang is a faculty member at Hult International Business School in Boston. She has over 15 years of experience as a retail business executive and has consulted for international businesses, which has enabled her to impart her knowledge of marketing, branding, and business fundamentals to her students. Dr. Pang has worked with several leading retail companies like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, TJX Corporation, and Macy's. She integrates the latest business and marketing strategies into her classroom teachings to equip her students with practical skills to prepare them for the industry. Dr. Pang's research focuses on cross-cultural consumer consumption and business strategies at the intersection of hospitality and retail. She earned her Ph.D. from Iowa State University. Dr. Pang is a 2024 recipient of the ExW ExtraOrdinary Women Award from the Mayor of Boston’s Office of Women’s Advancement. In March 2024 Dr. Pang spoke at the inaugural fashion and beauty track for the SXSW Conference. Her presentation topic was about the positive impact of mutual mentorship and how strong communities can be formed through mentorship.

About the speaker
Thomas Sullivan is a professor of Leadership Skills, Leadership Coach and Discipline Lead for the Leadership Skills track. He has spent 20 years as a consultant, facilitator, coach and lecturer on designing, leading and implementing personal and organization change efforts in distinct settings across the globe.
In addition to his teaching at Hult, Thomas is President and co-founder of My City At Peace, an organization dedicated to creating peace in our cities. For the past seven years, Thomas has developed, designed and lead teams to deliver leadership development programs and coach teams and managers at all levels of leadership with the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He has held senior consulting and management positions with Arthur D. Little and Innovation Associates. Prior to that, he held a management position with an international training firm, where he managed sales and operations as well as developed and conducted training programs focusing on personal transformation and effectiveness.
Thomas is bilingual (Spanish and English) and works with equal ease in Spanish and English. In addition to his teaching at Hult, Thomas is President and co-founder of My City At Peace, an organization dedicated to creating peace in our cities and is a consulting member of the Society of Organizational Learning.

About the speaker
Renzo Casapía has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Agustin in Peru and holds an MBA from HEC University of Montreal, Canada. Renzo has held leadership roles in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing in global organizations such as Citigroup IBM and National Geographic Learning in Peru, Mexico and Canada. Prior to his current role as Managing Director for Cengage Latin America, a leading education and technology company, he was Managing Director of UVM; the largest higher education institution of the Laureate network. Renzo is also a proven consultant and mentor in Innovation. He teaches Business Transformation and Data Analytics at the EGADE MBA (Tec de Monterrey) in Mexico City and at EADA Business School in Barcelona. He has been a keynote speaker and panelist at global business, technology and academic events such as the Americas Annual Conference of EFMD.
Renzo is also a board member at Inroads, an international nonprofit organization that provides leadership opportunities to students from visible minorities in Mexico. Renzo is Canadian and Mexican, is happily married with two daughters (14 and 16), enjoys languages, running and mountain biking.
