Hands-on electives in New York

Our New York rotation center is designed for students who want to dive deep into the business world in one of the most dynamic cities on earth. Engage in hands-on learning through electives tailored to provide practical, specialist skills and on-the-ground insight.

You'll also have plenty of opportunities to attend industry networking events and informal meetups. Past events have included discussions with the Honorable Thomas Reeve Pickering and visits to important organizations such as Bloomberg and the United Nations.

Sample electives offered at Hult New York:

Business Analysis & Valuation

This course aims to help students value a company using financial statements. It provides students with the conceptual background and technical skills necessary to interpret financial statements, analyze cash flows, make judgments about earnings quality, and uncover hidden assets and liabilities.

Luxury Marketing

With particular attention to growth opportunities versus maintaining rarity, attracting generation Y and Z customers, and the ethical and sustainability aspects of luxury, this course explores the true nature of luxury brands, the unique rules for managing them, and the key elements of a luxury strategy.

Private Equity

This course aims to give students an introduction to the world of private equity that has, over the past 20 years, grown from insignificant to a very large asset class. It focuses on the main areas of knowledge needed to operate comfortably in the international PE environment, including practical aspects and "transaction-based" learning.

Neuromarketing

This course introduces students to the fields of consumer neuroscience and neuromarketing. This course addresses the question: How can our current understanding of the brain and human psychology be applied to general marketing goals?

Venture Capital

Studying VC investment gives students a deep understanding of how startups are funded, grow, and eventually exit. Venture capital involves high-risk investments in early-stage companies. Students studying VC gain expertise in assessing and managing risks associated with investing in innovative and unproven business models.

Big Data Design Thinking for Marketing Strategy

Marketers seek value in data and analytics to drive business growth. Explore how to harness the power of data to identify new revenue opportunities, improved customer loyalty, sales efficiency, and competitive advantages over rivals.
