As we enter the last couple of weeks of applications for the annual intake of our Global Online Master’s in Executive Coaching, we asked a former participant to share her story. Bela Stankova, executive coach at Genevva Coaching, from this year’s class speaks to Caroline Monfort, admissions officer for our coaching programs and an alumna of the Global Online Master’s in Coaching herself.

Caroline: Hi Bela. Why did you choose to study the online program for your executive coaching master’s?

Bela: When I heard about the Master’s in Executive Coaching at Hult Ashridge, I was living in Serbia. With small children and a demanding coaching practice, I was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to attend the online program. It allowed me to seamlessly integrate work, family, and studies without the additional investment of time and money required for travel.

C: Were there any other factors in your decision?

B: The flexibility of online learning made it possible for me to pursue my education without compromising my other responsibilities. Years before, I had made the conscious decision to transition my coaching and training business entirely online, so I was already accustomed to the online format. I consider it a privilege to have access to an amazing faculty and impressive participants from around the world, all from the comfort of my home.

C: Did you have any concerns?

B: My main concern was whether I could balance the demands of work and family with the intensity of my studies.

C: And what were your findings?

B: The support and structure provided by the program made it feasible. The course was rigorous, intense, and challenging at times, but it was also deeply insightful and enriching.

C: What was your highlight?

B: One of the aspects I appreciated most about the online format was the diversity of the group. We had participants from Singapore, India, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Dubai, Jordan, Austria, and France. Despite the physical distance, we got to know each other well and formed wonderful friendships. The global perspective and varied experiences of the participants greatly enriched the learning experience.

C: Any unexpected turns?

B: I had the opportunity to take the second year of the Master’s program in person at Hult Ashridge. This was also an unforgettable experience. The impressive historic country estate, with its stunning architecture and beautiful gardens, undoubtedly creates a unique environment for self-reflection and deep work.

Caroline: Thank you for your insights, Bela, and all the best for your next chapter!
