Program Overview

Coaches work in complex and sensitive social and political environments that require the use of a rare combination of skills, knowledge, personal qualities and concern for professional ethics.

The aim of this qualification is to support you and enable you to develop yourself as an executive coach to the full extent of your potential. The programme is designed to adapt to your personal strengths and coaching philosophy, to help you become the best coach you can be for a large variety of clients.

This programme combines a psychological and organizational perspective on coaching. Through a combination of psychological theories and models, sound business understanding and facilitative coaching, you will acquire the skills to grow your organization consulting and coaching practice.

For anyone thinking about doing this, absolutely go for it. It's been one of the most incredible experiences I've had the privilege to do. I've loved meeting and working with wonderful people, benefiting from brilliant faculty and cutting-edge academic research. I've enjoyed thinking about how to apply that back, out in the real world, to make a difference.

Ashridge Coaching Philosophy

At Ashridge we see coaching as a relational practice. While we take it as read that serving our clients is the primary task of a coaching relationship, we have a particular perspective on the nature of this relationship. We take the view that the relationship between coach and client is at the heart of effective coaching and is, therefore, the central vehicle for learning and change. We see this as a mutual and co-creating relationship rather than a remedial contract to solve a problem.

Our Coaching Faculty

Our coaching and supervision faculty are highly experienced organization consultants and executive coaches and supervisors. Many are also experienced psychotherapists and bring their relational and Gestalt approaches to our coaching programs.
